Hiroshima Dreaming

Over the past few years the Koi breeders of Southern Japan have enjoyed a tremendous growth in popularity. Employing new techniques they have in many cases managed to match and even surpass the success achieved by those in Niigata.

For the first time some of these farms are featured on the interesting DVD. Focusing primarily on Sakai Hiroshima the DVD also visits both Omosako and Narita Koi farms as well as featuring the Hiroshima Koi show and other interesting sights around the area.

Sakai Fish Farm are the largest producers of nishikigoi in the world and have won The All Japan Show 3 times in the last 6 years; an unrivalled achievement! We go behind the scenes at this incredible facility to show you the harvesting of their mudponds and the unique methods used on the farm

Run time: 60 minutes. PAL (Region 0) format. This DVD will play in all computer based DVD drives, and most home DVD players.

Koi & Pond Tip of the Day
July 31st, 2010
Summer usually means increased pond water loss due to evaporation, which of course leads to topping off our ponds more. You should always add dechlorinator when topping off the water level of a pond. Any amount of chlorine (such as that found in treated water) can be harmful to your fish. Even if it is not enough chlorine to mean immediate death of the fish, this chlorine can still cause harm to proper gill function.
